Ushguli Georgia
Ushguli lies at an average altitude of approximately 2150 m in the Great Caucasus, in the dividing zone of the ridge (1500 m to 3629 m) below Shchara (5201 m), the third highest peak in the Great Caucasus. In the prevailing moderately humid climate, the vegetation changes from mixed forests to coniferous forests and beyond the tree line to high alpine pastures to the glacier of Shchara with the rise in the Enguri valley to Uschguli.
